Went up to the Saddle River just before noon to try a little fly fishing, caught 3 bookies and one is my best brookie to date it’s 18 inches and very fat and healthy looking. I’m pretty happy with it especially because I caught it on the fly rod using an olive nymph.

Thanks Guys ;)
Even though I could spot him every now and then I had a tough time getting the big brookie to hit anything he would come in and have a look, but never hit anything then I finally got him to take a olive nymph, he came in looked at it then swam away again then out of no where came back pretty fast and sucked it in. Not a real long fight, but was a lot of fun anyway.
It was ever so slightly hooked in the corner of his mouth, It was very cool. I was out there for about three hours today, and was hunting this fish for the last two. I guess once a hunter always a hunter, that what makes fly fishing so much fun.
