Great pics and story[up]

But, if it's a guaranteed hunt, which these places are, where the outcome is NEVER in doubt, you will go home with an animal, well then it ain't hunting, it's getting meat and a hide. Hunting is when the animal can get away from you and it's possible to come home empty-handed.

Damn it... I wanna go some time.
Call me, I'm headed back down to Bob's to pick up my sow's skull & my Pop's Boar's skull; I'm sure we fit a little hunting in there!

There is every possibility to "come home empty handed" & I guarantee that a person could eaisly get lost in that 1100 acres and have someone have to come looking for you.

You have to put in the leg work to find the animals, have the ability to put a stalk on them, and then be able to make the shot. Hunting over the dogs, you need to be able to keep up with them and the hog and be able to make a shot while out of breath and with your heart rate thru the roof.

And yes, they can get away from you.

Looks great!!!! However, I wouldn't be comfortable hunting with the dogs (although I am VERY confident in my shooting skills)...there is too much that can go wrong and one mistake like that is somehting I could never live down. If I was that guide I'd be holding my breath every time I took those dogs out with a hunter I barely knew I'd love to stalk them or stand hunt them though![up]

Great pics and story. Congrats. That little dog, Camo, must be something. [up]
