What an unbelievable morning I had.. I tried creeping as best as possible in the crunchy 1/2 inch of snow that layed last night. I blew a group up and followed tracks. It being so loud I figured I had all day I would eventually catch up with them. Kept on the tracks and started working down a steep hillside. As I was creeping on these tracks I spot a bedded deer on a finger. Wind in my face, deer has the wind in his face. I kept looking through the scope and then I spotted the rack. My heart went in my throat. This big boy was just laying in a spot he could see everything. Well after 15 mins and me making it 10 ft to a place were I could shoot I anchor myself up against a tree. The deer is down hill from me. It was very difficult to keep my cool and move closer without this deer busting. I put the crosshairs on him as he layed there and BOOM. The smoke cleared and I saw him laying in his bed! It was about 80-90 yds. When I approached the deer I was in shock. I'm still in shock!! I can't believe How it unfolded.
