Browse the classified section here and on archerytalk. Lots of good deals to be found. I'd also recommend that he stop in to Strictly Archery in Washington (Warren County). Tom and Ray always have some used set-ups for sale there and they'll go over everything with him, set him up, give him a lesson, etc

I have a prime shift that is on the classifieds in excellent condition.
It is set at 27 1/2 " draw and will adjust up to 29" . Draw weight is 60lbs. Grey digital cameo
Bow and stabilizer are together- I have a few sights and rests to choose from.
I would add a cbe 3 pin sniper sight ( new in the box ) and make the package 350.

you can get a 2 or 3 year old bow for $400 instead of something 10 years old that isnt worth anything and is really just not technically sound. i gave away a bow that was 10 years old last month to a member on here, they arent worth anything.

I have a Matthews dxt for sale . 27.5in draw 65lbs . Comes with sights drop away arrow rest quiver arrows stabalizer soft case trigger release. Bow is in really good shape 326fps.. 300firm for everything

I have a 2008-2010 PSE Nova. My Bow Hunting days are over. Have no idea what it's worth but if he can figure it out he can have it. Comes with a SKB case that is probably worth more than the Bow lol. I will be up in Sussex County in a couple of weeks. Let me know. Have Arrows for it too.

I have a parker hornet plus 2. Very fast bow. I bought it about 2 or 3 years after it came out. It RH with 60-70lbs limb with 27in draw. Come with cabela release, 20 gold tip pro hunter arrow, portable bow press, cobra 1 pin, g5 drop away and plastic case. Everything is in excellent condition. I m looking for 500.
