I had this boar on cam several times over the past few weeks or a month, as well as some other pretty good bears. I was a bit discouraged when they all seemed to go mostly nocturnal over the past week or 10 days, with only some limited last light appearances, and none from the 2 biggest ones. I had already put in for the time off from work and decided to make the best of it. So by 6 am I was in my stand with a backpack full of supplies, snacks and things to keep me occupied throughout the long day I was about to wait. Not even 1 hour later I look up and this big boy is standing about 40 yards from me. He makes his way in and with in 5 minutes, he turns broadside and I wasted no time. Settled my pin and let one fly. He ran a semicircle around me and crashed in some thick stuff to my left about 40 yards. He let out a crazy death moan and then all was quiet again. Thats when the real work began. I tried for 2 hours to figure out how to get this bear out of the woods, but my quad decided it was only going to give me 2 wheel drive today for some reason. I made a thread here and within minutes i was on the phone with Longbow. I am still in disbelief that he came out and put that much effort into helping a stranger from the internet. I mean this was seriously hard work, I'm completely spent. I cannot thank him enough.
