early season bow glove?
Still haven't found gloves I really like for early season. Have a good cold weather set up with the midweight fingerless gloves that have the mitten that comes over them and a hand muff around the waist but don't have a good early season set that I like.

Depends on the bow for me.My target bows I usually build up with hockey stick tape to fit my hand.I have a prime that I hunt with and couldn't stand the grip on so I took it off and built that up with hockey tape as well and I love it.short answer......hockey stick tape.

I use a rubberized stretch wrap. Helps alot from sliding on the grip, especially with glove or mitten on my hand.
I use self stick bandage tape from a CVS/Target etc....it looks like a thin ACE bandage....it's on my grip year round
This is what I was thinking I know I see alot of bows on archery talk with this. Guess I have to try a few different wraps out and see what works out.

I am a firm believer in a less than firm grip, and would never want it to be sticky. I like it thin. I don't use a sling but I basically just hold it with the "V" between thumb and first finger, very lightly. I try to do all I can to eliminate hand torque.

Baseball bat grip tape comes in different thicknesses and is nice and tacky as long it's clean. Many colors to choose from also. I just replaced the grips on a few of my sons baseball bats and the stuff is very comfy in the hand. Dicks has it for $11 and one roll is enough to do probably 5 bow grips

Exactly. That's one of the reasons I love PSE bows. A lot of guys love their bows, but hate the narrow grip, but I find it to be exactly what it should be. It sits perfectly on the "drumstick" of your thumb, allowing your hand to just be natural and relaxed. I don't use a sling either

I can't believe the difference when I ripped off that pretty wood handle on my Matthews z7, and replaced it with the more narrow focus grip.

I have the same bow as you and don't use a sling either. Never had an issue before but with this heat wave were having I am noticing my hand sliding slightly before and after the shot. Going to put a thin layet if tape on tonight and see if that fixes the issue

give it a shot and see if it helps. you can always peel it off if it doesn't work

I did the same with my Z7. Picked up the focus grip. Definately a difference although with the heat I have been noticing some slipping with sweat. I may try a layer of tape and see how that feels tonight. Good tips guys. [up]

Single layer of hockey tape made a world of difference. Thanks good luck tomorrow everyone.
