Well, let me prefix this thread with a very very BIG thank you to the WOODRUFF GUN CLUB for hosting our Deerathon.
I think everyone that attended will agree that we had a great time [up]
As far as deer harvest, Well, today was a little on the light side. We started about 8 deer and managed to shoot one. That deer was the FIRST deer taken by one of our younger hunters, Matt. Congratulations Matt [up][up]
As far as a good time and good people, we couldn't ask for more !
I think all through the day everyone's mind was on the meal that was waiting for us at the end of our hunt.
When we got back to the Clubhouse we were greated with Steaming Hot Goose Stew, and Scallops wrapped in Bacon[tasty][tasty]washed down with some of Tdaly's great wine. Then it was out to the shooting range, where every clay pigeon was treated to a barrage of fire ! Once again, everyone wanted to try my 10ga. and my Glock handgun.
Then it was back into the Clubhouse for the main course. Venision roast,Gravy, mashed potatoes, veggies, and MORE scallops. We ate drank, ate drank, ate drank, and ate some more BURP !!!!!!!!!
All in all it was a great day !!!!!
And here are the photos to prove it:
