We fished with Pete Lahosky of Prime Time Sport fishing in Oswego.
Awesome trip, he knows how to put fish in the boat!
We started out going for Browns at 5:30 am right outside the harbor. The bite was slow due to the inclement weather the night before and it moved the fish out. We picked up a couple with the best one being the one my son Michael boated.
We decided to move offshore and get into some Lakers in about 145' of water pulling blades and peanuts. The action was fast and furious to say the least! We couldn't keep the Lakers out of the net! We lost count on how many Lakers we threw back. We kept a couple small ones along with our big ones due to excess bleeding, we didn't want to risk putting them back and dying and going to waste.
We stopped at Fat Nancy's twice while we were up there and Woody's to buy stuff we really didn't need, I guess.
We also took the kids to the Compactor Pool on the Salmon River and got into some nice Browns and small Steelhead, all on baby night crawlers!

If anyone is looking for a quality trip with a great charter captain, give Pete a call.

Congrats to your boys on some great catches, Mike. Captain Pete knows his stuff, no doubt.

There are differences to the Brown and Atlantic Salmon. At first glance they can look the same . I agree with longbow. A silvery brown in this case. I had the good fortune of catching a beauty of an Atlantic some years ago. I knew it when I caught it, but some tried to tell me different. Andy Bliss of Cold Steel Charters verified it.
