Sort of looks like a Muscovy duck but not sure and didn't know they were a pet. These people in my town have them in their yard , the ducks fly but never leave the yard
Curious if anyone knows what this is?

Muscovy ducks will interbreed with domestic pekins, indian runners, khaki cambels (holland browns)and wild mallards or black ducks. The hens can fly short distance but the drakes are too heavy to get off the ground. No, they don't taste like chicken, more like dark meat turkey. They are a very hardy domestic duck and require less care than other domestic breeds.
