I am ready for a new 3D target.
This one is 2 years old now and even though I changed the insert 3 times I think it SHOT.

I was wonder wich targets you guys use, and what you recommend ? I shoot quite a bit to stay on my game and keep my shoulder going as well as my kids and there friends shoot now and then. So I need a pretty hardy target that will last a few years, but I’m not looking to brake the bank either.

[rofl] Nah I think it has a few shots left in it [rofl]

Matt and his brothers did that to mine back when they were kids.

Glue his head onto his arse and you easily have another 30,000 shots.[rofl]

They all wear out....Maybe Rheinhardts are better, but costly. I just stick to cheap ones and replace them without feeling too bad. Thats my theory if you're going to shoot alot.

I have shot that foam insulation in a can into middle until it was shooting out of some of the other holes a couple of times. It did help make it last a little longer. Also, keep the broadheads to the broadhead targets...

BTW My Glendel, I've only had for one season and I am not happy with how long it is lasting. It is pretty beat up and for the price I am a little dissatisfied. Next time I'm going to go with Matty's suggestion and just get a cheapy.

I was thinking of using it (the can foam ) but I think I'm better off at this point just getting a new one ;) The square target behind the 3D target is for broadheads, but this year I did shoot broadheads a few times from tree stand height, after the front leg fell off and since it was shot anyway. But that is mainly just carbon express and field points :D

Paul, damn dude...that thing has seen a lot of arrows!

I think Neverwear has the best broadhead target concept with clay...but the rest of the target is foam and susceptible to the same issues as your 3D target.

Maybe you can make your own out of clay like Neverwear? Would be a nice project...and probably not that expensive or hard to do.

They are charging like $200 for this target...not sure how many people have actually bought it though, but again the clay is moldable over and over.

do I see some arrow holes in the house?
NO :p
That is just a few sheets of 3/4" plywood as a back stop.

To be honest I've been known to jerk a shot high or low every now and then :D

But for the most part I have a few kids that practice back there with my daughter and I find arrows stuck everywhere. I found one in the lawn mower bag once [spy] LOL
