I've been eyeing this but a 30" draw length -- I'm around 6' and my draw length is somewhere around 28 1/4" maybe a little more if I use the wingspan divided by 2.5 formula -- fingertip to fingertip is 70 3/4"

30" is way too much for me

Are the cams still available to adjust this?

The pro shop advised me when they looked at it that it was a set draw length, non adjustable

The vector cams are draw length specific so it requires a cam change to adjust draw length. Vector cams can still be found on ebay, archerytalk, and at some dealers but they are not real common. Some sizes are definitely easier to come by than others. The vector cams are arranged in families so once you get out of that family the string and cable lengths also change. Many folks are taking the older hoyts like the trykon, vectrix, or katera and swapping over to xtr or rkt cams. That gives you adjustable draw length through modules and the bows are gaining some performance with the updated cam system. To go that route you can call hoyt and they will give you the appropriate string/cable lengths for the cams you want to swap to. There is typically a slight change in draw weight range when swapping to another cam system or even another cam family within the vector cams. Here is the tune chart for the vectrix xt that shows the cam families and what cam you would need to find for a specific draw length. http://hoyt.com/uploads/tune-charts/e403bbcc9ed058d2e59a090943e90330e56e376a.pdf
