Spent the weekend shed hunting with my wife. Nice benefit of having that late season food source. They are definately easier to find in the midwest.
Any one finding sheds?

A lot still holding here but I found a couple fresh ones so far. I would say another week or two most will drop.

Two days ago my nephew found one on my property only a 2" spike but my cams and my eyes are showing about 90 % still have both on their head very late considering i'm on hp mountain. December most years here.Last year all but one shed before jan.1. I think it's cool watching them come out before dark a few weeks ago it was midnight.Know they see me in the yard and one of my logging roads runs from the yard 300 yds to a patch hemlocks and they don't even get spooky they put their heads back down and tear up the corn and frosted mini wheats but way more mini wheats lately than the corn. I have great results with that sh!t i buy it at the dollar general cheap dump two boxes and some corn and they love that stuff. This heavy really nice black lady in the dollar store says to me damn boy how the hell you stay in shape eatin all them mini wheats you is in here sometimes twice a day fillin that cart.She says all you buys is tons of AA bateries and mini wheats lol.Anyway hopefully this week i get to find a few.

I found a matched 8 pt set a couple weeks back right under one of my stands. I hunted Friday and saw a half dozen bucks. Half of them only had one side.

I had three rack bucks along with 15 other deer walk through my yard yesterday 10 minutes after I came in from shooting my bow. The bucks were still holding both sides. I'm heading to illinois soon to shed hunt and to frost seed my clover plots.

My son and I are going out in a few hours to look for sheds and pull my cameras. We'll also going to do some scouting and decide where to set up some mineral sites. Here's a photo of my best NJ sheds so far. I was never able to connect on this buck. He always seemed to be a few steps of me. They are smart even for Jersey deer. LOL!
