how are the henry rifles? Are they worth the money?
I have a Henry lever .22. It is one of the smoothest, nicest shooting rifles I have ever shot. I have plenty of rifles and for pure shooting enjoyment my Henry is my favorite. I WILL be buying more of their rifles in the future. And, just to give an example of the kind of company they are, I'll tell you this short story. After I got my Henry and shot it, I sent an email to the company president to let him know how happy I was with my gun and tell him that n.j. Has at least one thing to be proud of and that was that these fine rifles were made here. In the email I mentioned that I was gonna order a Henry gun case for it in the next few days. Within ten minutes of sending the email, I received an email back from the company president stating he was pleased with the positive feedback, wished me the best with my new rifle and not to order the gun case as he would send me one free of charge. The case was at my house in two days absolutely free including the shipping. In the box with the case was a hand written note from the president stating that if he was in the Trenton area he would get in touch with me and that he would buy the pizza if I bought the beer! All of this was for buying one one their most inexpensive rifles! Now I haven't sent many emails to companies but the ones I've sent have rarely been answered and certainly not by the president of the company. So these people not only produce beautiful well built and nice firing guns but, they know how to run a business and have most certainly made a life long customer out of me. I rare find in the business world today. So, after all of that, my answer to your question is absolutely they are worth the money and then some!
Have the Frontier Model Octagon Barrel Large Lever Loop with a Rimfire Scope on it Love it
I want one of those. I'm not going to put a scope on it though. Cowboys didnt have scopes!I've also got a .22 Frontier Model with the octagonal barrel, but with the smaller loop and Bushnell optics. Chalk it up to reliving my cowboys and indians games of the early 70's, but it's probably my favorite gun.
Notice that they curiously do not make a single semiautomatic rifle? That's surely not an accidental oversight that they just haven't thought about.Yesterday if you were to have told me there is a gun manufacturer in New Jersey, I would have out-loud laughed - one of those big belly mocking laughs. [lol] But I just looked up Henry - wow! Based out of Bayonne! Who would have thunk it????? I cannot imagine the amount of regulations New Jersey imposes on themDo they actually manufacture them here or in another state and Bayonne is just their headquarters?
If they wanted to get into semi's, I'm sure they would. They have another manufacturing plant in America...Notice that they curiously do not make a single semiautomatic rifle? That's surely not an accidental oversight that they just haven't thought about.
I'm sure if you wanted to open a replica Brown Bess manufacturing plant the liberals would "allow" you to do that too.
