Went to a friends house in zone 7,his wife was having issues with way to many deer, so I sat in a blind in thier backyard, right next to the swing set. I hunted the in a stand this fall but they busted me every time! So today? I went the blind route. The home owner, put some corn out yesterday and there was a little left, don't let anyone tell you backyard deer are easy, cause they ain't!! Anyway, I got set up just after noon, I looked at the time after sitting awhile, 4:12, I put my phone back into my pocket and looked up and there they were, 3 good sized does, they all seemed to be about the same size, I waited untill one gave me a clear shot, when one did it was a 10-15 yard shot, she bolted for the woods and went about 50 yards before going down. Sorry no pix as I did not have my camera, so she is now checked and at the butchers!! Fall season I got put only a few times, and I knicked a doe that lived to tell the tail in October, did not hunt permit bow due to various reasons, things got better and now I have my second deer headed to the freezer, I'm now done deer hunting till fall. Boy it felt great to get out again!!

I assume they payed no mind to the blind where we had it. I know the outline was broken well and they were used to it by now.

They wher find with it, though as I drew on one, another saw "something" but did not get nervous, I had to let down once, when she turned towards me, then when she went broad side I drew again, only to have it walk in front of another deer, that one nudged her in the butt, she moved away and came broad side and that was it for her! Had a good blood rail too.

Ain't that the truth. Those big ones will darn sure spot you up there as well as the matriarch does. It happened to me twice on my "target" buck this year. Just no good trees where I had to set up.:sorrow:
