Like many have stated. Clean the barrel after every shot, make your life a whole lot easier. Also take the breach plug out and clean the ENTIRE barrel, the dirtiest part of the barrel will be where the pellets/powder is seated.

Thanks Alec, yeah when I did clean it it was fouled significantly 2-3 inches in front of the plug ...Nasty

I have a TC triumph and use two triple 7 pellets. But I switched from Shockwave bullets to Powerbelts so I can load it twice more before cleaning if I had to while hunting. Near impossible with the shockwaves. I plan to try three pellets next yr or the Buckhorn powder as the deer I got this year, while dead at 50 yrds of run, the bullet did not pass through after breaking the near side leg. And I think last year just ribs and no pass through. I want a bit more blood trail if I can.

Also I use a 50 cal brush to get the crud off quick then cleaning patches.

You have some very good recommendations in this thread to follow. Myself....I shoot a T/C Triumph topped with 2x7 scope. I load it with 100 gr Triple 7 powder and 300gr Hornady XTP MAG bullet and Harvester sabot. At the range, I swab the barrel after each shot. A simple patch sprayed with a Windex/Vinegar mixture, it's cheap and works great to do a quick clean of the barrel between shots. This makes it easier to seat the next bullet and also have a clean barrel to shoot the next shot out of.
