I went hunting down at the Bridge to Nowhere Friday around 230 pm, which I have been hunting this spot for years. While I was out there a white work van started to honk its horn and yell at me while I was in my blind. I did not think nothing of it so I continued to watch my spread. I witnessed the van pull up to my SUV and trailer and stop directly in front of it. Again I did not think anything of it. So when I packed up and drove my boat in I came back to my vehicle keyed, tire sliced and white electrical tape on my hood with "Go hunt somewhere else scumbag locals only dont come back" written on it. I live in Barnegat and hunt Manahawkin dont know how much more local you need to be but either way. I am posting the pics of the van as I went back Saturday to find his van there and a car that I believe is his buddy. Called the police had their information taken down but figured I would post the pics here so everyone can watch out for this jerk.
My truck was vandalized by another hunter on Friday December 18

Cool I was always under the impression its fine in a trunk but back seat of truck no good without triggerlock. Wasn't loaded, and always have my FID on me. Never know if I'll have the impulse gun purchase. In jeresy I try to be extra careful.

A trigger lock not required, and the police can not make you leave public land. Not intended to sound sh*tty, although it's probably going to, but.... If you're certain this is the guy that did this you ABSOLUTELY should have given him the beating of a life time. I f the police won't help, and you're not gonna handle this yourself, then what does it matter what his name is? Either way it sucks what happened to you, and I hope you get some kind of resolution that is acceptable to you.

Believe me the thought of physical retribution has crossed my mind on more then one occasion but at this point I have a very long paper trail and havent had the need to find an alibi in quite the while haha.

Two wrongs don't make a right. You did the right thing. Today's society is so screwedup that you would be found to be in the wrong while the other guy gets off. Sort of like the guy throwing a punch in a football game getting flagged for a personal foul after getting bit in the pile.

I just have so much to lose, one charge and all the degrees and professional licenses was for nothing. I can't risk my families future over a tire and a scratch. It did take all my energy to come to that conclusion as I am furious

I had my truck repeatedly vandalized (tires cut) when I lived in Parsippany. I knew who was doing it and why. He was cutting my tires because I was friends with someone else who had a restraining order on him. He couldn't go after my friend so he messed with me. I tried to get Parsippany PD involved and they did nothing. One officer told be I should just beat the crap out of him, which I would have preferred. My answer to the officer was if I give him a beat down then I would be arrested on assault charges. He concurred. Bottom line if law enforcement does not help and you take care of it your self you are likely to be charged.

I'm surprised no one mentioned the possibility of this being the same wacko who runs people out of all the deer woods in the area and the cops wont touch because he has ties. I've heard he held a kid at gun point and stole his bow. There are wackos down there and it seems no one wants to clean them out.

You sound like a young level headed guy.....do the right thing....let the police take care of this, this is what they get payed for.
As for all you computer tough guys, you bring yourself down to the same level as the jerk that did this damage to the truck....insight someone to take care of things on the own is not worth the jail time.
By the way....do you detectives ever think the guy in the van was blowing his horn to tell him some wrecked his truck....

That would make sense if the guy didnt stop in front of my vehicle directly after honking the horn and yelling for an extended period of time. I saw the guy get out of the van through my binoculars but couldnt make out what he was doing. Plus he hunted the same spot I was in the next day at the exact same time.

Big Joe ... Not Worth It , KARMA evens all playing fields . You could be 100% correct but your sinking to his level and now he has the advantage cause you have intent .... No ones hurt , it's a material object and Your Family is Worth 1000 times More .Hell get his , if he's actually the culprit . Good Luck
