First I'd like to thank Mike for selling me his Encore and Second Slayer1962 for the 22-250 barrel . We're down in North Carolina for passed 2 Days and I'm trying to get my lil guy his first deer , he's 10 this month. We arrived Monday morning for afternoon hunt . After sitting for 2 hours , a spike walks passed us at 110 yards . My son being his first attempt to kill anything living Missed .... We looked with the dogs to no avail. He was crushed . Next morning I shot a buck while he slept on my lap. Next afternoon , feeling alittle shy with him taking afternoon shots , I took a doe . My son was upset to say the least . He wanted to shoot. Upon leaving the stand I saw a Large shadow standing on the lane , me being out of the stand urged him to load up . I was looking from under the stand when the shot rang out and I saw the white of the neck flip back and down he went. My youngest has now join the Brotherhood . It was here 4 years ago my older son cut his teeth and now my lil man has followed suit . Congrats to him my older boy got a spiker.
