Got out last night for the third time this year. Been a busy year and my first two sits were humbling with not being able to harvest a doe like in years past. My intentions was to harvest a doe last night but then seen two nice bucks showed up on my cam one was a eight and this six Tuesday night late but came back daylight Wednesday morning. Settled into the blind with my buddy Pat who filmed the hunt. Around 5:45pm had two mature does and a couple BB's come and about 20 mins later Pat tells me here comes the eight who put on a show with trashing a tree and not to far behind him was the six. They come in and push the does off and they are feeding head on. After looking them over, I decided to take the six since he was older and the eight even though nice might be something next year if he makes it. Of course as soon as I say that one of the does works her way around to the downwind side of the blind and blows and they all scatter. But as you guys know, I use ozonics and she smelt something but could not make out what it was, which kept her around. So she and the others proceed to hang around at a distance and keep the bucks at bay for over 30 to 40 minutes but they decide to feed back right in front of the blind. This clams the boys down and after a long wait they come back in but this time the six comes in broadside and I let one fly. Get out and follow the short bloodtrail and I have this great six pointer and venison in the freezer again! Just a great hunt with a good buddy and got to come home with a great buck. Love bowhunting! Best of luck to all you guys and gals[up]
