O.K. just talked to a friend he reminded me when we first got them, an old farmer told us to tie a long strip of cloth soaked in Kerosene and tie it around out ankles. Since I'm to old to remember, I can't say if it worked or not. Bitch getting Old.. Now where did I put that remote???

Yea I'll try that and my luck I'll be heald accountable for the forest fires

I believe it. My son and I are going down to Virginia this weekend to trim shooting lanes and cut the trails to the stands. So, I'll make sure to cover us with pesticides.
Tarhunt You better get in a giant heavy duty trash bag up to your neck. Like I said getting Old but I just had a Brain Flash, To ALL,, Google,, Chigg Away... It's what the MILITARY Issues,, relieves itching and repels Chiggers. I think I got it at WalGreens...

CHIGAWAY works. The sulfer in the product dries out the bites in a couple days but before they are try you SUFFER. F $%K So Jersey until after 2nd frost.

When I was living in SC and working for the fire department I was working a car accident where we had to extricate two patients. In the middle of cutting the second patient out my legs suddenly felt like they were on fire. Looked down and I was covered in fire ants. By the time I could get someone to relieve me on the tools and get my fire gear stripped off I had bitten close to 500 times. The only thing worse than the pain from being bitten was the weeks of itching. I tried everything to get them to stop itching until someone recommended Bactine. I couldn't believe something so simple worked so well but the Bactine was a miracle drug for itchiness of the bites. Might be worth a try for the chiggers

I guess I have been fortunate. I've scouted in shorts and a T shirt and never had more than scratches, some pine fly bites, or mosquito bites
