Prices have gotten so high I don't think its worth it any longer.
Wont say where we where hunting or how much but it was at the point
we were being made fools of.Tried state land last year saw a fee deer and
2 bear.Think I saw 2 guys and one group driving.Think with a little scouting
could d better.Maybe it's just me but I'm done paying to hunt.

Any of the "for Profit" clubs can be a pain, (I'm not against anyone making money, "so don't go there") need to look at several and see if any suit what you want/need. the 4 alternatives are,
quit hunting---not my recommendation
find a farmer/land owner that you can have a private deal with. a lot easier said then done. and it can end at any time.
Buy or buy into a private club with costs shared. (then you have an issues of who uses it more, maybe)
Hunt public land that is far enough off the beaten path that you won't be bothered.

maybe you can Find a club that fits what you need, remember the cheaper it is, the more members it will have.
Good luck

good luck

Private is not the end all.. You will find that hunting public land will make you a better hunter and you will have a better experience.

get in deep on pubic land. bow season its very quiet in the public pieces. put on the headnets(for flys) and grab some waders. go find some high ground in a swamp. come deer (gun)season that's where the deer will go. clubs(drivers ) generally aint getting wet unless they have too. good luck in your search. 35 yrs of hunting, 1/2 of those years on private land, the last 1/2 on public land, I zero issues (I expect to see a person walking around) I see some great bucks.....I'm happy !!!, and I save my money

Great decision I joined a few clubs over the years and wasn't happy with any of them and always quit after the first year. There are to many can't does for most members and can does for a select few and the same crap goes for some management hunts. The guys that are in the "click" pulled some shit that would totally blow your mind and it was ok and once you brought it to the leaderships attention they would make up all kind of lies to have you removed..hahaha Besides state land try your local township or county management hunts but stay away from private and most club affiliated management hunts ...Good Luck[up]
