I seen on a documentary that the reason for the teeth issues is because of too much Mountain Dew. really. I tried it once and its gross.

Winter.lololol wait til winter comes my energy bill sky rockets tk almost 4 grand for propane and the tri state area during the winter is worse then any mountain state I trust a drunken cowboy coming down a mountain In Wyoming then a large percentage of idiots on the jersey turnpike on a sunny summer day

Nitro, and the surrounding areas are known as "Chemical Valley". Was one of the top contenders on the EPA Superfund sites back in the 80's. Surprised it wasn't glowing in the dark. Nice and quiet now that all the polluters have left. See anybody with flippers?

I love when guys from NJ go to WV and make fun of how people live down there, I have been going down since I was a young boy and I always respected everyone I have met down there. No matter where you are from and where you go, people are different, NJ could learn a few things from some of the mountain men and woman I have met through the years. If it weren't for the winters, I would think about retiring there.

It does look beautiful and the property is cheap, but on a scale of 1 to 10, how hillbillyish'/redneckish' are the people?
Are there actual pockets of civilization where you can drive 10 miles and be at a Home Depot, Outback Steakhouse, or Target etc...?
Like everyone else who possesses fiscal sanity, I need to "flee" from New Jersey sometime in the relatively near future, but I don't know much about West Virginia. I guess what I'm saying is, I'm perfectly fine with rural country living, but I'm not okay with "squeal-like-a-pig" Deliverance folks.

We have neighbors that moved here from WV ...... a family with 3 boys.
Without a doubt, never met finer people. Friendly & neighborly. Extremely respectful kids. Very religious folks .... but they don't shove their beliefs on you.
The father moved the family here because he felt WV was a dead end for his family.
A number of my sons' friends went to school at WVU. Seems people go WV to party, and then leave.
