He'll be denned up by shotgun season....most in that area do. In 2016 when there's an October Bow season, things will change up substantially...But most people only take 1 bear 1 time. Once they bite the bullet and realize the time an expense in processing the animal and mounting, they decline to hunt for them again

He got this one, one other one about that size and two different sows, one with 4 cubs born this year about the size of cats and another sow with 3 Cubs that I'm assuming are two years old now.

I have a friend in Alaska who killed a giant brown bear up there. He'll never shoot another one for all that is involved after pulling the trigger.

Guilty! I'll do another with the bow next year though. It's been a decade since the last one. I almost forgot what a nightmare getting the last one out of the woods was like alone.

Saw a small bear walking through the Hunterdon Playhouse car park while I was standing there waiting for the NYC bus this morning.

He looked at the folks standing there with their iPhones taking pictures but wasn't fazed in the slightest -just changed direction 90 degrees and ambled off.
