Hi guys. I'm new here. In any case, I went to the state police barracks in Augusta, NJ in sussex county

2/26 gave sergeant my application
2/27 fingerprinting done
3/7 sergeant submitted my paperwork (Trenton?)
3/25 check cashed

Sergeant said I'd have my fid within 2-3 weeks from once the check gets cashed. It's been almost 8.....

What is going on????

This whole wait time is still happening? Damn I feel sorry for people that live in these townships that take super long for your FID. Took me 5 weeks from the day I handed in my papers to the day I received the letter in the mail. That was in Woodbridge too. But then again I did mine before the whole Newtown CT shootings so I'd like to think that has something to do with it all.

My wait time from Augusta was 4 months, the SGT that runs the FID program is a good dude, big hunter/outdoorsman. After he does what he does at the local level and the packet gets turned into Trenton is I think where the disconnect is
Yea he seems nice and everything and I know it's out of his hands but when he said 2-3 weeks after they cash my check that I'd have the fid it makes me wonder. how that one guy got his in just over a month is weird. And I didn't apply that much later than him
