Dude said they aren't the same... why push? Why the need to play detective? Would it matter if they were? You either are interested in the gun or not. God this site is littered with insufferable douches
Its clearly the same gun. Look at the wood grain lines on the gun's stock. I've been on the this site a long time, and I think a concern needs to be raised if two people (or one person attempting to disguise themselves) are trying to sell the same gun. If that makes me an "insufferable douche" in your eyes, so be it.

You guys need to get your eyes checked and fishy why would i ask $850 obo for the gun and than post it again when im telling people i will take $800 for it than repost it? You people need to relax and realize your wrong. Dont like it than dont look at my gun.

And even if they are vented n ribbed than its my bad but i would not go out of my way to post 2 posts to sell it.
The proper terminology is "ventilated rib." As opposed to solid rib or matted rib barrel (no rib at all but matting along the barrel's top) which denote the other two styles found on A5's. PS - Belgium barrels are metric, so a barrel listed as 28" is really 27.5" long and a 26" barrel (somewhat hard to find in a '57 Belgium year was really 25.5" long.) measure the barrel from the muzzle to the chamber mouth.

Does the serial number start with G8?

Best gun I ever owned, to bad some dirt bag stole it in the 70's. I had suspects but there all dead now, all but one. Doesn't bring my gun back. Mine loved Breneke's . Hey nick , take the butt plate off and see if there's a business card in there. I'd buy it just to get it back as it was my 2nd SG given to me by my Dad.
suspects... and now there dead i wonder why[lol]
