Well today was the first day of my permit, so got out early this morning n hit a spot had 2 gobbles off roost but than all went silent until 2 hens came in n stayed for about 5 min. Went to another spot after break fast n was almost done with that spot going to another when I got a gobble boy was he close to close he was about 50 yrds n seen us before we could get down 2 more went off and it was on, tried to get my buddy a shot but it didn't pan out as the birds got paniky I dropped the hammer. This is my 2nd bird and 2nd time turkey hunting but the first time calling all on my own what a rush. This bird 22lbs 1 1/8 spurs and 10 inch beard.
