Hunting zone 9 today . Heard at least 3 different Tom's on the roost.
Nothing since fly down. .
will make a move when I pick my dad up at 8. Hopefully for the better

Zone 14. Had Tom coming in but got hung up. Stupidly over called and now he's gone[cry] It's been a year since my last outing but I should know better!

Zone 8, Crows were going crazy, not a single gobble heard . . .

Stopped to check one place without getting set up . Before could get set up the bird was running towards us on the logging road.
Second spot nothing. As with the third. As we headed out we saw the tom I have been chasing the last two years strutting with a hen.
Can't wait till the hens start to sit

weird morning... saw a bear cross the road 150yds away from where I was parking this am. had a bird working on the roost , saw bear again all went quiet. took the gun for a 5 mile hike. fired a bird up around 9am , watched him hang up and strut @ 75 yds for an hour and a half .. could not seal the deal , and afraid to make a move as the woods are wide open ... Iwill[ko] see him wednesday

went to lunch with my dad , then drove past where we watched the Big tom this morning to see if he was still around.
He wasnt so I headed home driving past stop number 2 to see 2 long beards and a hen feeding less than 50 yards from where we were most of the morning.

ALL about the timing, when it falls in line it seems easy, when its not its def a struggle .
