Women always overpack, I think it's in our nature. I have back up flashlight, extra batteries, back up knife, pack of tissues, pack of wipes - you never know! Chapstick, thermos of coffee, bottle of water, extra hat and gloves, granola bars, camo bandana/rag, grunt tube, bleat can, bottle of TC plus scent, hand warmers, flashing light to attach to blood trail marker, and probably more crap. I clean out my backpack at the end of the season.

[lol]
Usually in mine its toilet paper, extra zip lock bags, some paracord, water, extra hat, a snack, deer gutting tools, niwalker crazy flashlight, thermacell (early season), chem hand warmers. I just haul it in my back and climb up with it. If I'm in my climber i'll haul it up on my haul line instead of wearing it up.

I also wear a fanny pack with some other items... hunting license, tree stand fall recovery strap, extra tree step, pen, extra zip locks, 5hr energy drink, maybe a granola bar, grunt tube, xbow cocker, car keys, extra batteries, a couple knives, head lamp, backup flashlight, etc..

It really depends on what time of year, your anticipated sit time, and the weather. If its colder I'll bring extra layers to throw on. Even when its early season, you can walk in and get sweated up on an afternoon sit and get REAL cold when the sun starts to set. Having a hat or a light jacket really can make those sits comfortable...
You forgot the kitchen sink.

Many times if I can get off work by 3pm or before I just run out to one of my stands with just my bow. Kinda nice not to drag anything else with you. Knife on my belt though always.

But most of my stands I can get to within 5 mins of my house walking. 10 tops for the furthest away

Busting balls or seriously? Is your stand wicked close to the car or are you off your back deck?

I don't gut deer by the stand so why would I need a knife? I already know distance and my shooting lanes so why would I need a range finder? I don't use the bathroom by my stand so why would I need toilet paper? Only thing I carry is my bow 2 arrows and climber if I'm hunting that way that day or if I'm hunting ladder stand I just take the bow.too much junk that's useless less is better trust me.i don't even get all camoed up.im usually in pajamas and I just jump in coveralls and go and no I don't hunt by a road places I hunt you'd get lost in trust me ask slayer 1963 he will tell you SGs style

Seriously this is a hunting forum I'm very successful at wacking deer you wanna know my strategy it's simple HUNT THE DOE BEDDING AREAS and the nastiest thickest cover find the runs going into them and magic happens. If your hunting use the does to your advantage nothing is better then live bait my friend no deer piss no deer call or bait is better then actual live doe but hey I don't know what I'm talking about I'm not pro staffer or an elitist just a pine hawker who kills deer consistently in the pines and up in North jersey but the ones in North jersey are easy actually it's not even a challenge up there.i did leave one item out i do carry and that's my cigarettes I have to have my smokes

Cool. Just checking. I'd love to hunt with you someday. Sounds fun.

I'll be bow hunting for the first time ever. I'll be in zone 6 with a good friend. I can pm you my number and if you find yourself up that way give a shout. I'll be in a lock on stand on the days I go. Unfortunately the season coincides with my busy season at work so my days are limited.

In my pack I have a compass, a flashlight and headlamp, range finder, binos, spare release, folding saw, deer drag, gutting bag and tracking bag.
The gutting bag is a ziplock with latex gloves, a spare knife, paper towels or napkins, and a pen.
The tracking bag is a ziplock with a roll of survey tape, and clothes pins with reflective tape.
In the early season add a thermacell, in winter bow add a hand muff.

For those that hunt from a stand

knife: Sometimes you get a squeaky stand and need to cut bark off the tree to stop it. Maybe you'll fall outta your stand and need a knife to cut yourself off your tree strap before you hang to death? Maybe your wife calls you and interrupts a once in a lifetime buck kill and you want to slash your wrists?

toilet paper: when you ate taco bell for breakfast, thought you were good, walked a mile in and loosened up that volcano burrito... then it hits you that you gotta take a crap RIGHT NOW. Hope you know what a poison ivy leaf looks like!
