9mm wouldn't be my first choice for a home defense round personally. Just a bit to fast for my liking. Still an awesome carbine, I've shot one and I love it.

Make me an offer, I will sell it without the forward grip, red dot peep sight and LED flashlight if you want. The rails and the barrel shrould are going with the gun.
