Here's a brand new fawn. This was on my back deck last year late May. It suprised the hell out of me when I went out to clean up the leaves.

Almost perfect camouflage they have. The mother would leave him there every day for the first week.
 
The gestation period for white-tailed deer is slightly less than 7 months or between 190 and 210 days. Fawning normally extends from March through July with peak fawn-drop occurring in late May.

Saw My first one last Monday the 16th in Union at the edge of the golf course, no I'm not on drugs, Yes it did have spots and I was told by my neighbor who's back yard but's up to the course that the next day it was dead, and later in the day there was not much left of it.
