I know a lot of areas already had an icy crust on top of the snow from the last storm, but we were lucky up in Sussex County. The snow has had no crust, it's been easy to walk through. Not anymore, last night's rain and sleet put a thick nasty layer of ice on top of the snow. It's gonna be tough on the deer for the next week or three.

Back in 70 or 71 there was so much crust on the foot+ of snow in Stillwater we could walk on top of it with no chance of going through. There was a rumor or thoughts of the state extending 6 day for a few more days. I was praying but no such luck so back to school I went. [cry] Tuesday after the opener my principle wanted a sit down with my parents, my Dad went and you can guess what a Constr. worker told the principle. [rofl]
