And if we outright OPPOSE sunday hunting? Dont want a 7 day firearm, Dont want the orange army at assunpink on Sunday, dont want to loose access to state parks because incidents will increase among user groups? Still support blue laws? Dont want additional pressure? Then what max? How do we answer your question

Exactly what I was saying 3 pages ago...this is a stupid hypothetical considering the audience you are targeting..but I'm stupid

The season for give or take runs from Sept to Feb in some zones correct? Why not just sell one deer permit for the year that encompasses all the different "seasons" i.e. doe days muzzle loader days winter bow extended bow blah blah blah? Then on top of that make you buy a buck stub if you want to kill an antler ed deer during some seasons? The answer is simple they need the generated revenue... it's what they are there for... they are political pawns just like every other committee.
You still didn't answer the question.

Again, the question is why would the F&G Council care how much revenue is generated?

You have the right to oppose anything you want, when did I ever state otherwise? You simply don't answer, but by doing so you don't give any chance of anything but an up or down vote on it. Pretty simple...No?

Sunday hunting is a pipe dream, dont get your hopes up.
I don't have my hopes up, again you miss the entire point.

Outside influences other than hunters... call me crazy but I trust no one in a postion of power
It's better to trust the hunters pursuing individual game animals that are out to protect only their individual interests without regard to the positives and the opportunities it could afford other hunters and youths? You have statements regarding people going out and getting homeowners associations to speak out against it just to protect waterfowl hunting. Those same people would jump on the council and F&G regarding opening up Sunday hunting due to self interests and license sales. You can't jump on them and not look at yourselves in the mirror and think the same thing.

Some where this makes sense...just not the planet earth

Best option for a compromise? You can chose to buy a waterfowl license or a "rest of the animals" license. If you want to shoot deer and ditch chickens fine, but no waterfowl for you... how is that for an opinion?
Bubblehead, if this is the "question" I answered you already. But yes you have the right to an opinion. I know a statement like the one you made would be taken very seriously at a public hearing. [eyeroll]

I never knew, I believe that was the whole purpose of this thread. It's like pulling teeth with you guys to get an understanding of the situation.

The whole point of this thread was for us to prove TO YOU that we are qualified to discuss this topic...ok

while were on the subject of how packed some places are(ie PRESSURE)

I'll "try" and put this in relative comparison for you....during "pheasant season" how busy it during Saturdays and holidays....no different for waterfowl ...add a Sunday now

SUNDAY=PRESSURE

Guys say sat phez hunting is a war zone & sun won't be.
as we keep saying its pressure on the ducks.
the ramps on a Sunday's will be stacked up like cord wood.
changes to waterfowl regs is not that easy to change.
like all of us have been saying Sunday hunting for other game that's fine
leave waterfowl out of it. Duce, bent barrels, Bubblehead have all made the points why we don't want it.
when it's comes to waterfowl regs you just can't throw some pixe dust on them and get what you want.
one more time. Sunday= pressure.

First let me say as I have said in the other thread. I oppose adding Sunday hunting for waterfowl given the current framework. Hunting waterfowl 7 days a week will have several detrimental effects.

I also feel that when going into a fight( that is what the Sunday hunt bill could be) you should always be prepared with an alternative battle plan if plan A doesn't work out. This is true many times in life.

So my question is this" If the fight to keep the waterfowl set up as is fails what is your plan B?" To stomp your feet and say "No changes!" Might work but it also may not work. If it doesn't work, how do you propose to move forward? Will you just come on this forum and post about how we are screwed or would you like to have a say in limiting the changes made?

How many people in other states opposed Sunday hunting? Probably a lot. How many states now allow Sunday hunting? It may be wise to start thinking about a Plan B or alternative so that we can propose our plan before we get someone else's shoved down our throat because we were close minded.

Let me say again I still support the plan A of keeping things the way they are. I am just suggesting maybe we should have a plan B ready just in case.

Good example I saw this season of pressure on the birds. Manahawkin WMA after one day of gunning, and it is heavy There. The birds quickly learn to stick to the tract of land between the AT&T land and the bridge to nowhere road. They will puddle hop all day long over there and not cross the road. Even two days later on a tues you can't call them across.

If the sunday hunting bill passes we should keep the waterfowl seasons exactly how they are... if the council decides to go against that then they clearly (as i stated before) dont care about the resource only the popular opinion and what their politian friends want. There is your real answer with out the sarcasm maximus. If sunday hunting is allowed by the legislature the council should still not allow it

With that said i think it should still be fought at the legislative level and brought back around with an exemption to waterfowl... then go for it and do as you please
I wish they would have introduced the bill that way from the beginning.
