Almost had an ice bath or 2 with this frozen terrain. Vertical bank skating rink... Axe as an ice pick kept me out. Doesn't look like a 50lb'r but the first one I weighed, fatty.

Still some in shady spots mostly ice now ground is shit.. I pulled all my k9 gear released 2 reds today rubbed up flanks.. hopefully the weather stays good and onto to the mink.. The coyotes aren't far and few between here in hunterdon county. pretty sure if I went at em hard I could get 40 or so of them things.. I dred skinning them. where are you at with no coyotes I feel like these things are on every property I trap..

First snared fox. Again, a pretty cool experience for newbie. Also picked up ****. The snow definitely helped speed the learning process. Why I waited so long to start trapping I'll never know.

Out doing some mink scouting and saw this set of mink tracks dragging his kill home down the ice. Not sure what he must have got. Couldn't follow the track all the way to see where or what he got. Thought is was a cool pic

Strange catching them under 4" of clear ice on top of running water...Unusual beaver..Not sure if it will grade black, but it might..only hint of brown on it was around the throat area. Darkest I ever caught. Fur was extremely fine too, not like usual. Looking forward to the finished put up to see any flaws in this one.
