I have owned a half dozen nikon scopes all were good quality for the money. Their higher end stuff is amazing. Take a look at Hawke optics. These are outstanding quality. Vortex is also very good. Leupold is outstanding and American

With a budget of $150 take a look at the vortex crossfire II scopes. I have original crossfires on a couple of my rimfires and just put a 4-12x40 crossfire II on a ruger 77/17 yesterday. For the money they are hard to beat and have an unconditional lifetime warranty. I have some vortex viper scopes on centerfires that are great scopes at their price point.

Walmart center point scope
4x16x40. $65 or so dollars
Spending a little more will get you a quality scope with an unlimited warranty.
I have this scope, it came as a package deal.
The scope is functioning well on a black colored rifle.
The higher magnification, 10+ up is blurry, but that must be my vision changing. [emoji102]

Bud you'll hear lots of guys tell you all about what they have. Look through a Leupold, than you're Burris. The Burris will smoke the Leupold clarity wise. They offer a lifetime warranty and dollar for dollar not much can even come near touching them.
That being said the Nikons are good scopes.
Burris in my opinion is lacking only marketing, they may be the reason they sell for less. And most guys have never shot one.
There are better scopes but they're tons more money. Also look to country of origin when everything else is equal.
