I actually participated in my first drive ever this afternoon and man was it a blast.
I was sitting in the parking lot of a convenience store eating jerky taking a little lunch break 5 trucks pulled up and asked if I wanted to tag along I gladly accepted.
Had a great time after they asked if I wanted to follow them to the clubhouse for dinner and drinks but had to decline because I had to help my buddy track a 6 point he shot.
Great group of guys and look forward to going out tomorrow with them.

That's a great reminder of what we should remember when doing this thing we love so much. It's not the weapon, the manner, or the quarry we chase but the fun, friendships and memories we make and cherish while hunting.

Those that can say point blank that drivers are pieces of shit or scum... really, your just ignorant and stupid to even conjure the thought. It is similar to an anti-hunter classifying us hunters in their negative ways without the substance behind their point of view, just rash, unsubstantiated and idiotic ramblings.

In the interest of fairness and to keep the name calling and profanity to a minimum, let me just say to all of you collectively... Go F yourselves [hihi] Have a nice day!!

last guy to shoot a deer, who hits it & drops it, claims it. Has anyone ever missed a deer that dropped from the previous guys shot & claimed it thinking it was his shot that put it down? Sure, but what are you gonna do, call in CSI to do forensics?

Look at it this way, the gun guys let the bow guys have >3 months in the woods, including the rut. they stayed out of your way and patiently waited for their turn. They have this one week. If it gets you so upset to see drivers, stay out of the woods for them then this one week. Plenty of stand hunters shoot deer while or just after a drive went by. (I have) If not, theres always next week, next month, next year.

One week?? Try every Saturday for the next month & some zones 2 months..

If a smart buck can elude one man that sits quietly, don't you think he can elude 60 yelling yo buck. There are more misses at giants than you think. All the driving does is drive the big boys closer to houses and to other pieces. He will be back. Dont you worry.
