Just set up my old 12 GA. mossberg 500 pump with the rifled barrel with a nice scope. Was just wondering what slugs anyone has shot out of itand what results they got. thanks

Mine likes Hornady SST's but every gun is different. I spent a small fortune trying to find what the gun liked.

that's what I figured but, its good to get opinions!! Im shooting soon so I figured try and see what generally works.

Since Remington did away with the Buckhammers, I use Lightfield
You can say that again, christ I think I spent almost $100 on ammo to sight my remington in.. Good luck, try remington accutips, hornday SST, and Winchester Partition Golds.

I have a 500 in my collection..Brennekes and Remington copper solids fly the same out them 500s
I have the same gun with a smooth bore slug barrel. Everyone says every gun has a ammo it likes. I have not seen this. I have tried 6 different brands all with similar results. I have shot ammo that's $8/5 or $10/10. All the same to me.
Buy some shoot make sure there are no flyers or key holes and it will be fine.
