wehdawg i never said that they werent good,,,its just a matter of what we each prefer,,, i know people that swear by spaniels or weimaraners or vizlas...its all in the persons choice and how they raise the dog[up]

i can talk to a friend of the family ...they breed shorthairs...very good bloodline ...weve had them our entire lives ...my dad used to compete in feild trials with them ...i know the breeder doesnt have many dogs and only breeds once in a while now but ill ask them for u ...kennel name is hidden hollow out of whitehouse

You can't go wrong with the GSP! But everyone is going to say the breed they have is the best. Striper we should go hunting one day and you can see my 2 GSP's in action. I will give you the breeders name and number that i got my older dog from if you want it.

i remember your dogs ringneck...they were nice..i honestly like all short hair breeds like pointers (gsp, english, weimaraners, etc)...ive hunted over all 3 including many brittanys (probably over 5 different brittanys) and i like all of the breeds...

I agree with Ringneck. You can't go wrong with a GSP. The one thing to remember there are foot hunting dogs and field trial dogs. If you get a puppy that the parents and grandparents are field trial dogs you might have a big runner on your hands. But that,s a personal preference.
