No way you can prove any of this. Just let it go and kill THIS years "target buck"
The problem is, given this guy killed a MONSTER buck on that property last year, and got away with it, human nature dictates he will likely be poaching on this property again THIS year, if he hasnt already (he probably has).

try and set him up, next time you see him show him a trail cam pic or two of a giant buck. Tell you him how it sucks this year that your not going to be able to hunt in there this year because of hockey or whatever reason you can think of. Of course let him know how much this sucks because you have him patterned down to a "T" .

explain the location of where your getting these pics of him. of course near the vicinity of where he was getting dropped of last year. Then go to that location make yourself some giant bogus rubs on trees and some bogus scrapes. Set yourself up a well hidden trail cam or two and hope to get a few pics of him caught in act. Also sacrifice some hunting time and do some surveillance in hopes to catch him red handed

If he did it once he will do it again
This would be a great idea, the problem is it's a massive 90 acre piece of land. The odds of getting him on camera are probably a longshot.

if it was me , i would tell him like this. just tell him next time when your talking about hunting with him. that you heard rumors of people poaching on your land and you now have camers set up all over the place. that you are hunting poachers as well as deer. set him straight !
That's probably the best choice. Try to scare him away from poaching your honey-hole.

I love when people say my buck .like that same buck goes no where eles but their treestand[down]
I didn't say it was my buck. I said it was my target buck. Its the fact that he trespassed onto private property to harvest it.

I understand. Maybe it's a personality thing....I can't get that worked up about what might have happened last year, I'm too concerned with this year & the future. If this guy is really rubbing it in his face, I'd definitely let him know that I know someone's been trespassing, and that you're increasing efforts to catch them.

I had that happen to me many years ago with huge 9 pointer that I was hunting during bow season one afternoon I heard a gunshot from across the street and knew exactly what happened. I confronted him a few days later and handed him a bunch of shit but he was a local farmer and the buck was dead so there's not much you can do about it [down] So its time for you to move on[up]

To clear this up for some of you who don't understand the meaning of this.... By 'my' target buck I mean the one buck that I had on my trail camera that I personally was targeting. This does not mean that it was 'my' buck like a piece of property. I targeted a particular buck a few years back for four years and I ended up getting him as a six year old 9 pointer that grossed 144 6/8" so I don't see anything wrong with setting personal goals for yourself as a hunter. Hope this clears up the confusion some of you are having with this post. The point is trespassing is cheating. And if you don't think it is then your an idiot.
