....hey fafafa1...I own the 380. I have been told that the the 405 is slightly harder than the 380 due to the increased length of pull. I have heard of no one on the Excalibur Forum who complained about cocking the 405 after they made the purchase. As for how it shoots, I am told and there have been numerous reports that these fling arrows at a much flatter trajectory and consistently give at least 405 FPS when shooting a 350g arrow.

For me it made no sense. 1st of all the 380 is more than I need. With my setup at 415g arrow I am shooting at approx 350-365fps. I am right at my max in terms of pulling up while cocking the bow. I absolutely love the crossbow with its no maintenance as it is nothing more than a single string requiring no tuning. With regard to ease of use. If I cut a string while in the field I don't have to say, "yippie my CB Manufacturer has a lifetime warranty and I will have it back in under 2 weeks"....I simply change the string and be done with it!....Oh yea, by the way...Excalibur has a lifetime warranty on their CB's to WHOEVER owns it.

They are just great bows. I suggest that you visit and join the Excalibur Forum. Everybody treats each other with respect (like here[eyeroll]) and there is a TON of information that your head will spin. People are just willing to teach....

Good luck,

Anthony:)
