Dont want to sound like a sentimental ass but, I gotta give credit where credit is due. A couple of weeks ago I asked on here if anyone knew of a good place to get a new leafy camo suit. Got a couple of suggestions mostly pointing to Cabelas. One member on here, Tomski, said he had a Cabelas leafy camo suit w/scentlock that he doesnt use. He offered it to me for free. We live quite a ways from each other so, after thanking him for the generous offer, I asked if I could send him the money for postage and have him go out of his way to mail it to me. I gave him my address and asked him for his so I could send him postage and a couple of bucks for his trouble. The next response I got was that it was mailed and in lieu of paying him postage to just buy him a beer some day. This kind of gesture is, in my opinion, what separates us from the rest of the world. I have seen people on here give away shotguns to youth hunters, bows to people just starting out(I gave one away on here myself) and various other things including taking little girls hunting when their setup gets trashed. No one, including Tomski, asks anyone their financial situation or sets unobtainable standards to receive these free goods. Just there for the asking. Those that have been in the position to give away these things should be proud of themselves. These are not the people out stealing cameras and treestands. These are the people that would give you the shirt off their back to help a stranger. I'm proud to belong to such a brotherhood/sisterhood. And, I hope to have the opportunity to buy Tomski that beer! Thanks for listening.
