I use the Nikon slug hunter. I am accurate to 150 yards. I'm sure I can shoot targets great at 200 but don't have enough practice to go for deer that far.

U can use the Nikon spot on app and select your magnification, exact round, and target distance. Works great

Check on cameralandNY they have stuff on sale pretty frequently. The vortex crossfire II is a great scope around your price range, and cameraland usually has the best prices on vortex and free shipping on orders over $100. You may also want to check out swift scopes, they are also a good choice around that price.

I have to agree on Leupold scopes, I have many VX-II (known today as the VX-2) all in 3-9x40, Nikon makes a good glass as well, but I heard their Lifetime Warranty isn't what it once was, Leupold has the best warranty thank GOD I never had to use it.

I have a Bushnell Trophy XLT on one of my slug guns, and two others I know of have the same one on theirs. It's a decent scope for the money, and from my understanding there is a mail rebate on it for $30.00, here is a link to it, decent price with FREE shipping

I mentioned the Nikon as great scopes but I'm seeing a lot of Leupold votes per se. If you did decide to spend a pinch more money, a scope to look at it a Burris. They don't market like other companies but look through a vx-2 and a Fullfield 2 side by side. Zero comparison, anyone says different never tried. Not knocking Leupold. They're great scopes but 100 more for similar scope and less clarity. Don't take my word go try the comparison
