commercial spray killer.........This past off season I got on sale gallon of Scent Shield scent killer spray for $6.50
This past season I also got a gallon on sale as well - its was Bone Collector "Clothes and Boot Spray" - no fancy name on it other than that. I only bought it because it was on sale - no idea if it's any good. I was curious what others used.

I found this - an interesting article from 2009 - The Best Way to Inhibit Your Scent - Deer & Deer Hunting | Whitetail Deer Hunting Tips

Looks like "Scent-A-Way Original Formula" was the clear winner at least in that experiment - I assume that is this product.

I already began taking scent free showers and not saying you should all year but you should NOT shower just the night before with scent free stuff. I think that if we are going to concern ourselves with this you cant use head n shoulders and irish spring all week then take one scent free shower and think your good. Some of that stuff, especially deoderants with ANY kind of fragrance will linger after showering

After reading DeerMasters recipe, I think I'll make up a batch to use as scent-free shampoo. Should work great, dontja think?

YES! I'm probably a 9! All clothes separated into scent free carbon bags like scent lok style. I start but not using any "perfumed" body washes or soaps a month before season starts. It will be octogon or white soap until mid January. Shower with commercial scent free body washes and shampoo. Dry with towels washed with my camo stuff and scent free detergent. I use Dead Down Wind dryer sheets. ALL clothing washed in commercial scent free detergent. Once out of truck I spray down with DDW. I usually do a layer of under-armour scent free and cover in sweats until I reach my spot. I will carry in as much as I can as not to sweat up. If I use the ATV then I'll wear cheap rain gear on the ride in....leave rain gear at atv. Once at stand Ill sit and cool off before finish dress. Maybe wipe down with paper towels or DDW wipes if its warm. I always wear scent lok gloves, facemask, socks, hat, and lacrosse rubber boots. Spray down again with DDW. I figure scent is easy to control so why not do it? We already spent 1000 on a bow, another 1000 in gear, plus hundreds more, right? After recovering a deer, we try to get it out of the woods, if possible, and field dress somewhere where its not an issue.
