I did. Needed to zero my new Benjamin.

Those restrictions are mainly safety restrictions I believe. First, you can only use what you can hunt with (no pistols for example). Second no high-powered centerfires (even though you can hunt with some of the lower calibers).

Air guns are toys (well, in every other state they are) and clearly aren't as powerful as blackpowder rifles - so all the berms will be able to handle them . Since you can hunt with them, and are .22 or lower caliber, I think they are allowed.

True, they aren't specifically called out on the signs, but its only been less than two years you are allowed to hunt with them, so it doesn't surprise me the signs at the ranges aren't up to date.

Obviously, all of the above, plus 5 dollars gets you a cup of coffee at Starbucks. Take it all with a grain of salt.

TRAINING AREA REGULATIONS

All WMA regulations apply.
At least one (1) member of the shooting party must have a current, valid New Jersey hunting license in possession.
Shotgun is for fine shot (lead-free at Assunpink; smaller than No. 4 lead or No. T steel ammunition) only. NO BUCKSHOT OR RIFLED SLUGS
Archery is for target or practice tips only - No broadheads.
Muzzleloader is for muzzleloading firearms, shotguns with rifled slugs or buckshot, modern .17 and .22 caliber rimfire rifles, and air-guns in the calibers legal for small game hunting only.
No handguns or centerfire rifles permitted.
Hours are 8:00 a.m. - sunset (except Black River WMA, see below)
