clarification on 30 days between pistol purchases

can someone clarify the 30 day pistol purchase law for NJ? If I bought my first pistol on 7/28 does day 1 of the 30 days start on 7/29 meaning i can get my next pistol on 8/27? Or do i have to wait until 30 full days are complete and can only buy the second one on the 31st day (8/28)? Or even crazier does the day of purchase count as day 1 meaning i can get my second pistol on 8/26?

And IF you do try to purchase a handgun before the 30 day waiting, you WILL get a call from the State Police Firearms Unit wanting to know WHY you attempted to do it pre 30 days. I know from first hand experience but it was an honest mistake in timing.

the day after your purchase is day 1. You have to wait a full 30 days then purchase your gun on the 31st day. That's what the guys at shore shot told me when I went to get my Ruger SR1911. I had to come back the next day to pick it up.

We may be explaining it differently. If you bought a gun on September 01 2014, when could you pick up your next gun?

I am an FFL Dealer and this is what I tell my clients…
I have inquired with the NJSP multiple times for clarification.. and could not get one…. This law is to vague.. There is no 32 days in any month.. JMHO
