I knew I've been too lucky the last few years. These spawn of satan can't have a legitimate purpose other then keep people out of the woods.

The best thing that I have found that works is as soon add you come in from the woods spray down with tile ex or just use bleach in a spray bottle. If you have any cuts it will sting like heck but let sit for 5min than take a hot shower. I haven't had a significant chigger problem in years. Couple bites here and there but Bennett more than a few

Every year when someone gets chiggers I always see some crazy idea to stop the itching. A little google foo will show you what to do.
Next some one will say use sulfuric acid and then wash with baking soda. Cures it all the time.

Best cure is to pour gas on yourself and light yourself on fire. [ko]. it will get rid of the itch. [rofl]

I always use chigger x which works pretty good but they still suck.

Wear long pants, long sleeve shirt, rubber boots and spray yourself down with permethrin or deet before going out. I'm going down to Virginia to check my trail cameras tomorrow and will be sprayed down head to toe.

I got chiggers for the first time in my life two weeks ago In illinois, 100's of bites , OMG, F' ing unbearable.... I'm still scratching as I type this...I Boiled myself in scalding hot water instead of itching and torched the bites with a blow dryer on high heat, it's the only thing that brought me any relief. I'm literally scared to go back In the woods now! It's that bad! If you see a big guy in hazmat suit checking trail cams, it's me....
