On Friday 8/1 I run a open boat tuna trip with Jorge Dossantos, George , his wife Fran and Charles Ransiear.. Greeted to a snotty ride out but it did layout as the day went on.. First stop we had all the right conditions. Whales and bait all around but extremely to much grass in the water . Just couldn't keep the lines clean.. We did have a white marlin crash the spread twice.. Made a move further east and 5 minutes there lines were tight.. This was now the norm... When all the boats left area we had tuna blasting top water plugs .. Incredible sight to see .. We lost 2 overs on top water plugs .. Great trip!

On a typical bluefin trip how long do you stay out? I get seasick and I don't think the Dramimine will work longer than a few hours.
Also I thought the bluefins were much bigger than what is in the pics.

They can get huge, but those are what's known as schoolie size.

230 grain.. Usually 12 hour trips .. Bluefin can vary in size from 30 to 300 all depends what school go fish are in the are ..Mahi , some yellow and wahoo have been caught in general as Bluefins
