This place is for hunters by hunters. Why dont you take a walk. We'll all be eating bear again soon after they chow down on one of you anti scum. You'll be begging for us to come back and do what's right. Manage the population.

Governor "No Bear Hunt"

GEE WHAT A SHOCK[sleep]

Not buying a license is EXACTLY what Corzine, PETA and HSUS wants.
As far as I'm concerned F&W is impudent when it comes to the final say as things are now. You buy a license to support F&W which is a division of and under full control of the DEP who's Commissioner is appointed by the Governor. I'm just transferring my money to another state. Still gonna kill. And remember your just not BUYING a hunting license.[smirk]

I think it's a good thing, I haven't seen a bear since I put my garbage inside.
And your neighbors haven't seen any of their pets since then either... If their not eating your garbage they are looking for some other easy food in the neighborhood... You crack me up... Bears can't get my garbage... problem solved!!! The population will now drop on its own and we will all live in Harmony...LOL! It must be cool living in cartoon land!!! The bears that can't get your garbage are eating your neighbors garbage, cats, dogs, chickens, deer, rabbits, pigs, goats, horses, and any other easy prey.... including kids if given the chance... Hiding your garbage doesn't make them NOT hungry anymore!!![rofl] It also doesn't make more food grow in the wild for the over populated animals that wouldn't be searching in our neighborhoods for food if there was enough to go round in the woods.... WAKE UP and join the real world Snow White!!![rofl]

im new to this site and hunting so some of my comments may be ignorant so im sorry, but didnt whitman already try this "Integrated approach to controlling the bear population" and guess what it didnt work the hunt came anyway, In 27 states they use hunting to controll the bear pop and with our state being the most populated per square mile bear conflicts are bound to happen im pretty sure since 2000 theres been about 5 attacks on people in NJ according to fish and widlife. and according to what a ranger told me two weeks ago they got a 700lb bear dead weight out of highpt last winter that could have been a bad situation for a lone hiker and im sorry bears are curious i dont care what anyone tells me loud noise's are not scaring all bears away especially if they are hungry and big. i had a bear walk up on me twice when i was chopping wood and playing paint ball this is not normal for blackbears to do. they say bears are scared of fire, thats lies because bears associate humans with food if they hear people talking they may get curious and think maybe they got food there not dumb, they can smell deodarant and thats enough to bring around a curious bear, next corzine will propose we all wear scentless deodarent and use scentless soap and detergent and that will be the next million dollar industry in NJ for some politician. They want to try some more "humane way" to controll bears and they dont even know how many bears are in the state thats a joke they should come out and apologize to the people and take a damn census off the bears and start a hunt with lottery to controll and protect the pop, bears have been seen in all counties in NJ so theres nowhere to put them anymore. The bottom line is the bear pop is growing and getting closer and closer to people, and to make things worse they are doing things that are not natural for bears to do. they need to be thined. I been camping in sussex county for about 18 years and the last 8 years of camping i've seen so many bears my bear memories are no longer distinct they are fuzzy. i spend maybe a week up there a year. this might be grounds for legal action i wish i could help you guys but im still in school trying to get a law degree. The state is leaving a possible threat to humans that is just increasing with out any formidable soulution. the state may have a major lawsuit on their hands in the near future.
