This has nothing to do with slavery and for at least the 3rd time I'll say i wish this wasn't the case but our economy is dependent on cheap labor especially when it comes to agriculture. Food prices are already kept artificially low with the rules and regulations on how farm workers may be paid such as no time and a half for over 40 hours etc.

Lmfao.....if you have the solution lets hear it.!?
Who will take their place and at what cost? If, and it's a big if, you could find anyone else to do it, fresh produce would not be on the menu for most people due to it's high cost. I know a great deal about this subject and I assure you if all the illegals left tomorrow, none of you are prepared for what will happen.
You may be right, but I am willing to try living without all the illegals in this country. You think it would take long time to let them back accross the border if it didn't work out? Not trying to be funny just saying we should try it-- send them all home and see what happens. If things don't work out for the US, then turn your back for a week and they will all be back.

The Coast guard is on a routine patrol off the coast of California, when they Spot a rowboat with 4 spanish looking guys headed for shore. As they move in to investigate, they yell over, what are you guys up to? The rowboat replies "We are coming to invade america and take back our rightfull lands" After the laughter had died down, a coastguard guy yells back, "Just you 4 are going to invade"? and get the reply, "no, we are the last 4, everyone else is there"

Wait, this is NJ...don't we already have all of these?
uhh yeahhhh... why the heck are they so high to begin with? Somebody has to pay for all the handouts.

my wife is a car insurance claim adjuster... she said its sick how many uninsured drivers are out there... and how many illegals are loading up a car, purposely getting in a minor fender bender, then all claiming serious back injury and getting a payout.

That's it in a nutshell, don't hire them, they have no reason to come here, or take out and pay taxes like every other business is suppose to do. BUT, don't say they don't work hard and long. Hade a group doing roofing on my block, 8 workers only one spoke broken English, had roof done, stripped, flashed and new fans, plus ran over and did neighbor's garage in 5 hours. Had one more to do that day. The owner of company is doing VERY, VERY well. I'm also very curios as to where these folks learn all these trades, concrete and pavers, all phases of residential building. Always amazed how these dudes climb up and down on a 8-12 10-12 pitched roof, no safety harness, like a tree monkey.
your nuts letting them work on your house. Wait till one gets hurt working on your property without the proper insurance and then they sue you. You as a citizen should have known better and they will win. There are lawyers who make very lucrative livings representing them and portray them as victims being taken advantage of by greedy Americans looking to save a buck.

No troops deployed yet? Political stunt!

1000 national guardsmen are scheduled to arrive on Monday, to begin patrolling the border. According to Fox news.
Do you have a link? I'd like to read about it. Thanks.

Perry flies up to Iowa to announce it, and they're on the ground patrolling in a week? Where are these 1000 members today? No training or planning? The air wing is in place? That was fast.

I'm well aware of the Perry's announcement to deploy the Guard. I listened to him allude to it while in Iowa on Sunday (boy, the campaign for the republican presidential nomination sure is in full swing. lol)

What I'd like to read about is the Fox News claim you mentioned that they will be there on Monday to patrol. Perry yanked these men and women out of work and away from family with no notice, as if a natural disaster is occurring? But, for an extended deployment?

They have been reporting all day about it, but didn't give that much detail on TV. Except the first troops are arriving as soon as Monday, said a total of 1000 all together. But didn't say wether they are all coming at once or in drips and drabs. I didn't find any other detailed reports on the web that gave anything more specific than what I posted. The way they said it this morning was 1000 troops are scheduled to arrive Monday.
