Please read, this woman is one of the most courageous people I have ever seen. This family still lives in Frankfort. I remember when this happened when i was a kid living one town over very tought to read this story given the vivd detail, as a parent and a human being, i am very concerned about where this indivdual will be living once released. It's complicated.
Neither registration nor public notification is mandatory for all sex offenders. It depends on the original offense if registration is required (in this case it will be) & at what level the offender's "tiered" as to whether public notification is permissible.
