Had one roosted, he went down the hill. I circled around, he went the other way. Went around him again and he went a different way. I think he hooked up with the hen I kicked out of a tree as I walked in. Saw one guy with a turkey, but heard no shots.

Was in the woods by 5:30 walked for miles without hearing a thing. I was literally 5 minutes from the house when I heard a gobble ad had 3 gobblers pop over the ridge while I was walking down the trail. They skirted around me about 25 yds out. I got a shot off with my recurve but shot low by inches. I skirted around them and got another shot off down the ridge atleast a 40 yd shot. Missed that one by a feather too. They would have been dead as dead if I had the 12ga but that's always how it goes. What a rush.

I'm hunting the same area as last year. There were bird's gobbling crazy every week. This year?Almost dead not a gobble for mile's.I did have 3 different hen's at different time's come clucking by from 5:45 till 6;45.So all I did was cluck and at 7:10 I had a silent jake coming to my deke's at 15 yard's he stop's look's stare's at me for a minute.Only a little skin was left holding his head on after taking a" Face Full Of Five's" of longbeard xr 3" #5's checked at Mt. hope deli processed at goffle's.

The trail that goes to these fields is only used by a few old timers. I been using it since I was a kid. It was clear path but the trail was overgrown. Took 15 mins of weaving in and out of brush to get there. Saw a few does only

I did have a member mentor me and learned a lot from him. Extremely grateful and
appreciative for that. I def will not forget what he did. A lot of good guys on here. Talked to him yesterday, gave me a few pointers and went out on my own this time
