I have hunted with a local club most of my life, and I also took a few years off to hunt with my father. During the time I stand hunted with my father I learned a lot about what happens before, during and after a drive occurs, in the surrounding pieces. While hunting on Monday morning, I could see a boundary road of one of the drives. I see them all line up and drive the piece away from me. Before they were even finished with their drive, I had 5 doe go right in front of me, and into the piece they were still driving, and three of these doe were big mature doe. What I am getting at is this; during 6 day, there is pressure on the deer, no matter if it is from drives or stand hunters. Hunting a highway of a path is not going to ever work if it is in open ground. Pressured deer are going to act differently, and with or without drives the deer are going to be pressured. Scout accordingly and hunt accordingly and you will see plenty of deer.
